Questions And Answers

Due to Covid restrictions we have modified the way we deliver courses. Due to the popularity of our new ‘enhanced online learning’ method, people now have 2 options for how they wish to complete their desired course.

Both of these options are Nationally Recognised delivered on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909

Enhanced Online Learning (with Assessment Only Practical)

Participants spend a longer period of time completing training at home in their own time prior to attending a short assessment with a trainer. Assessment lengths for these are reflected on the booking calendar and can vary from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on your course. The online training consists of watching simple video modules that you can pause, re-watch and take notes if you require. Many have found this very helpful and a convenient way to complete a course. A short online multiple choice assessment also follows.

Face to Face

This is of course the more traditional familiar method of completing a First Aid course. Learning Face to Face with a trainer delivered over a short day. This course still differs a little in that it requires a small amount of video content to be completed (timing of this varies depending upon the course and the person doing it) prior to attending the day’s course. By participants preparing for the course by completing this pre-course short at home component, we have been able to condense the days training and these face to face courses are more time efficient than a traditional Face to Face course.

Arrival time

To ensure we start on time could you please ensure you arrive at the training centre at least 10 min prior to the scheduled start time this will ensure we are able to complete the signing in process and any other admin that may be required. Our classes start promptly so don’t be late!

I am running a couple of minutes late can I still attend?

Try to call us and let us know your expected arrival time. We will not allow entry if you are more than 15 minutes late, you will need to re-book for another class.

What do I need to wear – Casual clothing, suitable for kneeling and undertaking CPR or other activities. If you are doing any of the advance courses were there is the use of fake blood ensure you wear some old cloths.

If you are doing a full day course – you may wish to bring lunch there is a fridge, coffee and tea will be supplied.

We understand things happen, just contact us as soon as possible before the booking or on the day of the booking and we will book you into another course free of charge. If this happens regularly, we may not be able to offer this at no charge in the future.

Please advise us prior to the course if you have any medical issues, impairments, learning disabilities, language difficulties or concerns that may impact on your ability to undertake training.

We are able to make reasonable adjustments in order to assist you.

CPR Courses – If you are booked into a course that includes CPR  You need to demonstrate a 2 minute continuous period of performing CPR on an adult manikin which must be placed on the floor (same with child manikin for those doing Childcare and Education First Aid). CPR on infant manikins needs to be for 2 minutes on a firm surface.

If the course you are completing has pre-course work this should be completed prior to the day of training. If you don’t complete it you may have some difficulty with the content and may not be able to be issued a certificate.

Once you have successfully completed the E-Learning and the face to face components of your course the certificate will be issued electronically. Typically, your certificate will be issued the same day or within 24 hours. If you need it urgently, please inform the trainer and they will attempt to prioritise processing your paperwork.
