Course Outline
This course offers the beginner technical and practical advice for use when taping athletes.
This course covers the introduction to taping techniques for ankle, finger & thumb as well as the principles and application of taping.
This is ideal course for first aiders, parents and players who are taping athletes
Course content includes:
- The aims of taping
- Reactions to tape and how to assess and prevent
- Anatomy of the limbs
- Ergonomics for the practitioner
- Preparation of area and pre-taping requirements
- Selection of tape appropriate for taping technique
- Application of tape for ankle, thumb and fingers:
- Common taping terms
- Post tape tests
- Removal of tape
Certificates:
This course in a non-accredited course on completion of this training, students will receive a Statement of Course Attendance.
This course is conducted in house at the our Training Centre, or we can come to you for bookings of five or more.
- Face to Face – 3 hours (minimum) full face to face course.
This is a practical orientated course there is no assessment conducted.
It is recommended that continue practice in the skills learnt will ensure better results with tapping techniques.
Cost $70 cost includes tape.
Payment Terms – Payment for individual participants is upfront, group booking payment terms are based on agreement between the client and service provider.
No work placement will be required as part of this course.

Refunds Policy
If the course is cancelled for any reason or the course is full by the time payment is received, a full refund, or transfer to another course (if mutually acceptable), will be offered to all students.
A full refund will be granted to any student who notifies withdrawal from the course 48 hours prior to the commencement of the course. Refunds, with less than 48 hours notice, are given minus an administration fee of $30.00. No refunds will be given for students who fail to notify non-attendance or choose not to complete the course after the course has commenced.
COMPLAINTS
FACT Training will work in a positive and constructive manner to resolve all grievances. All efforts will be made to ensure that customers, staff, and the public are protected and that any activity that may compromise the high standards of the organisation will be prevented or appropriate disciplinary action taken.
Confidentiality will be maintained between all parties concerned.
Face to face contact between the complainant and the person about whom the complaint is made will only occur with the mutual consent of both parties.
All parties are entitled to the involvement of a support person who may be present and involved in all discussions at any stage of the process.
All formal complaints are required to be submitted in writing, providing details as to any perceived infraction to the FACT Management. This may be on FACT’s Complaints form or in any other written format.
Written complaints are to have a response acknowledging receipt of the complaint within two (2) business days.
Copies of any complaints will be forwarded to the person about whom the complaint is made, and their version of the event requested, in writing, within five (5) business days.
All complaints will be fully reviewed by FACT management, with a response to the complaint being supplied to the complainant and the person about whom the complaint is made within five (5) business days of full information being received.
FACT securely maintains records of all formal complaints and appeals and their outcomes on the Complaints and Appeals Register. Only authorised individuals have access to these records.
The complainant may withdraw the complaint or stop the investigation at any stage of the proceedings.
SFASS will make every effort to ensure that all complaints are documented and attended to in a manner that is acceptable to both parties.
All staff members will be provided with copies of this and any other procedures involving investigation of the complaint and advised of their rights, privileges, and obligations as a member of First Aid Courses Toowoomba.
Following the close of the complaint/appeal, FACT will internally investigate the cause of the complaint and identify any appropriate corrective actions to reduce the likelihood of the issue reoccurring will be taken.
